How To Use This Waist-To-Hip Ratio Calculator
Measure your waist at its narrowest point or around the level of the navel, and measure your hips at the widest point. Divide waist by hip to get the ratio.
This ratio is used as one way to assess how body fat is distributed.
Normal Waist-To-Hip Ratio Values
As a simple adult guide, a waist-to-hip ratio below 0.90 for men and below 0.85 for women is often considered lower risk. Higher values may suggest increased health risk.
